PSSAR (Palestinian Students & Scholars at Risk) Network is a Canadian-based, volunteer-led non-profit dedicated to helping Palestinian students and scholars access graduate education and research opportunities abroad, especially in the face of barriers, occupation, and systemic academic disruption.
We believe education is not just a right—it’s a lifeline.
To help Palestinian students and scholars at risk unlock their full potential by connecting them with higher education and research opportunities in Canada and beyond.
A future rooted in justice, dignity, and educational access—where every scholar, regardless of circumstance, can pursue knowledge, contribute globally, and uplift their communities.
PSSAR is grounded in the principles of:
The war in Gaza has devastated Palestine’s educational infrastructure. Every university in Gaza has been destroyed. Hundreds of educators have been killed. Thousands of students have lost access to classrooms, mentorship, and opportunity.
Yet the desire to learn remains. Despite decades of hardship, Palestinians consistently rank among the most educated populations in the region.
The deliberate destruction of schools and universities threatens to erase an entire generation of scholars. In this urgent moment, international academic communities must act—not just to protect education, but to preserve hope.
PSSAR exists to bridge that gap, creating pathways for talented Palestinians to continue their academic journeys and reinvest their knowledge into rebuilding what was lost
